This is Everland's outdoor zombie horror event, and you are part of it: you play a White Z agent taking on Dark X's zombie army. Blood City began in 2017; Everland counts this edition, Blood City Zero: Hell Gate (에버랜드 블러드시티 제로: 지옥의 문), as its tenth season.
You pick your own route through five themed areas: Hell Gate, the Laboratory Out of Control, the Circus of Madness, the Bloodstained Schoolyard and the Platform of Doom. Actors roam the areas, start games and hand out missions, and every so often the performers gather for a mass flash mob.
Complete all the stamped missions and you earn priority boarding on Monimo Rush. Film director Lee Seok-hoon worked on the cinematic staging and made the preshow film, shown on a screen behind Hell Gate; projections also play around Blood City Plaza and Monimo Rush.
To look the part, Everland also advertises costume and zombie makeup experiences, and Alps Kuche serves horror-themed food.
