카페 시노라 북촌점
Café Sinola Bukchon is a charming little cafe on Gyedong-gil in Bukchon, the second creation by the owner of Euljiro's legendary LP bar 'Pyeonggyunyul.' Drawing inspiration from beach pubs, Santorini tavernas, old Buenos Aires cafes, Japanese kissaten, and 90s London moods, it is a space that prioritizes the atmosphere of drinking coffee and the music that shapes it above all else. Equipped with vintage sound systems from the 1950s-70s, it plays curated selections of cool jazz, classical, bossa nova, and old pop. The irregular publication 'GATEWAY TO SINOLA,' co-created with jazz expert Shim Young-bo, speaks to Sinola's depth of musical dedication. The orange awning and red brick exterior create an exotic atmosphere, while signs reading "COFFEE & TEA LEAF" and "RECORD SHOP" reveal its identity. The first floor is intimately arranged around a wooden bar counter with LP records and vintage items reflecting the owner's personal taste. The second floor welcomes warm sunlight through wide windows beneath exposed wooden rafter ceilings. The signature French toast with seasonal fruits and cacao nibs, paired with drip coffee using the house blend 'B Flat' with its subtle sweetness and black tea notes, are the standout menu items. Coffee beans, records, and merchandise are also available for purchase. The cafe also operates branches in Seochon and Yeonhui, and located near Anguk Station, pairs perfectly with a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village.
