Nodeul Island lights up for Seoul Light festival

For ten nights in October, Nodeul Island on the Han River turns into an open air light show. Seoul Light is a citywide festival built around light art, and this island venue gives it a stage right in the middle of the river, an easy detour if you are already walking along the Han.

The programme is organised around what the festival calls its three L's: Laser Art, light installations built around the idea of companionship, and short lecture sessions about the light works themselves. Expect a mix of things to look at and short talks to listen to as you move around the island after dark.

It runs every evening from October 2 to 11, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, and it is free to attend, open to anyone. Check the festival's own website for the fullest programme details and any advance registration for the lecture sessions.
