Jeongdong Culture Night: an evening of history around Deoksugung

Jeongdong Culture Night (정동야행) is a festival of Korean tradition and history held in the old streets beside Deoksugung Palace. The Korean name means a night walk through Jeongdong, and that is the idea: an evening out in one of Seoul's most historic neighbourhoods.

It is run by the Jung-gu district office and is open to everyone. The source does not list the programme, so look at the official site for what is on and where before you go.

Friday is an evening only, while Saturday starts in the afternoon, so Saturday is the day if you would like to see the area in daylight as well as after dark.
