카타오모이
Kataomoi means 'unrequited love' (片思い) in Japanese and is one of the few jazz kissas in Korea. A jazz kissa is a small bar that plays music exclusively through vinyl records. After boldly leaving a 12-year corporate career, the owner opened this place in Seongsu-dong out of passion for music, offering tasteful selections that match the day's mood. The playlist mainly features modern jazz instrumentals from the 1950s-60s, while Mondays and Thursdays feature various genres including Korean pop, rock, and electronic music from years past. You can enjoy discovering music like a treasure hunt among the LP records filling the walls, while drinking anything from beer, Scotch whisky, gin, French wine, and champagne to coffee and tea. The quiet, calm atmosphere is perfect for drinking alone or on dates. Closed on Wednesdays.
