Noodles

Gomguksijip

곰국시집

A beef noodle soup restaurant that has been family-run for three generations since 1976. Unlike typical knife-cut noodles that use anchovy broth, this place serves noodles in a rich broth made from slow-cooked Korean beef brisket and bone marrow, resulting in deep umami flavor. The signature jeongol (hot pot) noodles are so popular that almost every table orders them during lunch. The steamed beef (suyuk) is also a must-try. A favorite lunch spot for office workers near City Hall and Gwanghwamun, with highly praised kimchi. Check for break times before visiting. Closed Sundays.

Highlights

  • Third-generation noodle house since 1976
  • The noodle hot pot on nearly every lunch table
  • There's a break between services; check before you go.
